Privacy Policy — Teams Archive

Effective date: 6 April 2026

Teams Archive is a Chrome extension that saves Microsoft Teams web conversations on your own computer so you can search them later.

Data we collect

The extension developer does not collect, transmit, or sell your data.

On your device only, the extension may read:

Teams chat and channel messages you choose to save
Your existing Teams web session (tokens already stored by Teams) to fetch those messages
Export preferences and the local archive in this Chrome profile

Saved messages are used only to display and search them on this device, and to export JSONL or PDF files you download.

Archive data stays in this Chrome profile (IndexedDB / chrome.storage).
Exported files are saved via the browser download dialog.
No data is sent to the developer, analytics, or any third-party server.
Network requests go only to Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Graph, Skype AMS, and SharePoint/OneDrive hosts you are already signed in to.

Do not save a conversation you do not want stored. Use Backup → delete local archive, or uninstall the extension.

You are responsible for following your organization’s and Microsoft’s policies when saving conversations.
